Last year the SF 49er office notified me that I had one day left to keep my 49er season tickets because the team was moving from Candlestick to Levi's Stadium and I had to cough up a license fee to keep my seats and the new stadium tickets were going to cost twice as much as the old stadium. I almost gave up my tickets because the new stadium was further south and I like watching them on TV but nothing matches the energy of going to a game. So I caved and signed the license agreement to keep my seats.
The 49ers have been my football team for 35 years and my loyalty does not waiver. Over the summer there has been a tremendous amount of controversy surrounding several players on the team and it feels like they are playing for the Dallas Cowboys or the Oakland Raiders instead of the San Francisco 49ers. I was heartbroken and disappointment with their behavior because I hold them to a higher standard.
Today I opened up a Fedex box to find my 2014 season tickets in a 49er equipment bag which was stuffed with goodies and I jumped up and down as the excitement rushed through me.
Now I am officially ready for football! I expect the players to get their acts together and raise the bar back to a team with high standards, class and respect.
Go Niner!
